Liberals Need to Stand Out and Stand Up
Gordon Gibson has a nice piece today in the Globe and Mail today on how the Liberals can differentiate themselves in the next election and help the country with a big problem at the same time. It turns out, Gordon agrees with me, that Electoral Reform is the safest and most exciting issue for the [...]

Surgeon who de-breasted woman in Ontario reinstated
And she promised to give back the breasts - but one of the victims says she'll take cash instead. Wise move.
What's more bizarre than reinstating this surgeon is that there will still be women who will let her slice them up.
I personally don't believe in cancer, but I've always said that if I did, and they said I had it, I would need at least ten second opinions, because I don't believe even more in doctors.

Gilles Duceppe Responds to 'Warren'
On yesterday's Talk Canada with Stephen Harper, a certain 'Warren' asked the following question:
With regards to the Bloc Québécois party, how can we justify having so much of the federal vote controlled by what is essentially a provincial party? Sanctioned federal parties should reasonably represent all Canada, not just a single province. Warren, Red Deer.

Will Israel Become a Pariah State?
It’s looking more and more like a strong possibility. The odd support of the left around the world in support of an extreme right wing violent agenda may make this a reality:
This problem is not exactly new, though the trends have certainly worsened over the past few years. For years after Oslo, virtually everyone agreed [...]

Sounds almost treasonous, doesn’t it? But lovers of liberty must consider this very radical action.

The theory that consultants of any description will always at least try to give their clients what they want is nicely stiffened by a new “Harris-Decima survey for the [unabashedly right-wing] Manning Centre” (named after Preston and his father, etc, etc). This work of applied social science “conducted through phone interviews with 1,000 adult Canadians [...]
The Toyota hysteria
Interesting viewpoint: I am not afraid of my Toyota Prius. He’s arguing that not a lot of due diligence has been used verifying these claims of runaway acceleration.
I have to admit I’m skeptical of that 20-minute 9-1-1 call of the guy in the Prius. For 20 minutes he really couldn’t either apply the brakes, shift into neutral [...]

Where Is The iPad Headed?
If you know how to use an iPod Touch, then you know how to use an iPad. Apple’s new “magical” device which is due in stores in April has gotten all the publicity that any Apple product usually receives, well, only because it’s Apple. Just like an iPod, the iPad has the app store, iTunes store, and all the great capabilities of the iPod music player. The only difference is it has a 10 inch screen! You can use all the apps that you have previously bought, plus there will be a whole new goldrush of apps specifically for the iPad....

OMG! Da Devil Made Me Do It!
When will homo sapiens sapiens earn its sapiens moniker? When will we be rid of religion once and for all? Until it happens, we'll continue to get bilge like this. Yet again, those who dictate to others what they should and should not believe or do absolve themselves of responsibility for their own actions and the abuses they do unto others.
OMG! There's More!
Rob Johnstone has been moved to file a complaint with the Manitoba Human Rights Commission over his inability to find a non-religious support group to help him fight his addiction to alcohol.
"I should not be forced to participate in someone else's religious beliefs. I shouldn't have to add to mine," said Johnstone, who added he has been an alcoholic for 40 years.
